Alexandrea Jones

Alexandrea Jones

After completing my Juris Doctor degree from Bond Law School in Australia I returned home to Toronto to fulfill my National Accreditation requirements at the University of Toronto. Prior to joining Kain and Ball in August 2009, I worked at JK Hannaford Barristers and articled at a highly regarded Bay Street securities litigation firm. I was called to the Bar of Ontario in 2008.

During my studies at law school I was active in various extra-curricular activities including the Canadian Law Students Association and the Bond Law Review editing committee. I also expanded my international knowledge at the East China University of Politics and Law in Shanghai, where I focused on Chinese intellectual property law. My time in Australia also gave me the opportunity to participate in Mediation Certification Course and the Queensland Public Law Clearing House where I assessed various files and provided summary legal advice.

My interest to pursue a career in family law began during my time at the University of Toronto when I was able to volunteer at the Family law Project. This opportunity allowed me to help unrepresented individuals work their way through the Ontario Family Courts.

As a young lawyer I am keen to further my legal and professional career with the assistance from the experienced lawyers at Kain and Ball.
